Hlupuplok is a synthetic, derived conlang.
Created in 2017, Hlupuplok features agglutinative word formation and grammar inspired primarily by the Japanese language. The language features a set of 121 "fundamental particles", each with their own meanings, that are combined to form meaningful words. Sentences in Hlupuplok have semi-consistent structures to compensate for its freeform word formation. It also features two alphabets, one romanized and one utilizing a unique abugida script.
The language was originally created for the Polyverse, a series of worldbuilding notes meant to serve as the basis of my creative output from 2017 to 2019. Its initial conceit was the idea of a "language that, when spoken, is comprised entirely of tongue twisters".
Hlupuplok was heavily inspired by Devine Lu Linvega's Lietal.
A complete, updated documentation of the language will be written in the future. For now, some written examples of Hlupuplok are a fable and the following:
Kūtōlutēvōk xolōtē. Otlōhlok kūtē. Tlōschuetlōk schlōetlōtu.
