The PLIVA index is a means of categorizing projects and tasks.
PLIVA, known as the PLIVA Pentacled Index, is divided into five categories (sometimes called "indices").
- Personal, which relates to internal matters of philosophy and framework.
 - Linguistic, which relates to communication and language.
 - Interactive, which relates to anything that has an input and an output.
 - Visual, which relates to things to be seen.
 - Audio, which relates to things to be heard.

These categories are useful in orienting oneself towards the development and expression of a well-rounded, general set of creative skills. The indices may also be used as lenses by which the world and its complexities can be viewed and broken down.
